Safety First tip #218: look out for the mob. The Harry Potter fan mobs. Because they’re coming, and if you aren’t careful, they will crush you like an insect in their thunderous wake.
And if you think I’m exaggerating then you have never seen a diehard Harry Potter fan. They’re nuts. Yes, I love Harry Potter. Big fan. But I’ve never been a fangirl. Okay, that’s a lie. I’m certainly a Batman (not to mention Christian Bale) fangirl. But I’m not the kind of fangirl who has a squeaky, high-pitched voice born out of excitement (or pre-pubescence—tween fangirls are the worst) and jumps up and down squeeing and scaring little children and old people.
Anyway. As you can see, two new photos have been released by USA Today of the upcoming film, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (directed again by David Yates). Interesting story: the kid who plays young Tom Riddle (Hero Fiennes-Tiffin) is actually the real-life nephew of the actor who plays the adult Lord Voldemort: Ralph Fiennes.
Those pics come from the new trailer. No, not the wimpy teaser that was reportedly shown with IMAX viewings of The Dark Knight—I’m talking full trailer here, folks. It kicks ass, too. (Download it in various formats here.)
