More Joker pwnage and Japanese President Batman

Ohh, man. You want some classic Joker awesomeness? You got it. Check out the Joker’s fatality move for the upcoming game, Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe (found it on Super Punch). I really, really need to get a PS3 … damnit.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

I am SO reminded of Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker right now (love LOVE that movie).

Moving on! IGN has a fantastic article on what a great Batman game should entail—and I 100% agree. Hopefully we’ll get that, especially with the Batman: Arkham Asylum game (and the possible untitled The Dark Knight-based game Gary Oldman was talking about?).

Even if you aren’t into politics (me!), this article by is really, really interesting and I highly recommend reading it. It focuses on John McCain and Barack Obama, who both said (big surprise considering the recent release of The Dark Knight, huh?) they admired and would like to be Batman—if they had to choose a superhero, that is. The article explores the different motivations and reasons behind each candidate choosing Batman, and it’s just very well-written. Read. Now. Yay you! 🙂

So obviously I’m a Batman junkie, and I’m always scoping out Batman books (whether trades or just books in general)—among other comic titles, of course—to add to my wishlist, haha. And this one sounds and looks awesome and fresh. It’s something different, and it has the Tommy of the Bat-Blog Seal of Approval, lol!

It’s Bat-Manga!: The Secret History of Batman in Japan.

Hardcover (left) and paperback (right) versions

“What?! Batman and manga, ew!” Uh, have you witnessed the glorious film that is the anime-styled Gotham Knight? You should, it’s amazing.

Finally … Dustin Nguyen’s art freaking rocks (ohhhh, mannnn, lips sealed on a different matter now, UGH!), and I found a wallpaper-sized version of his art for the cover of the November issue of Detective Comics (#850) on Super Punch. See my blogroll in the sidebar for his fabulous DeviantART page.
