Ohmigod Nguyen!

Interview with artist Dustin Nguyen, whooooo! ๐Ÿ˜€

What a great guy—it was really a pleasure and a lot of fun to talk to him. I absolutely love his art right now on the Detective Comics storyline, “Heart of Hush.” Writer Paul Dini is on fire, too! Gah, can’t wait for the next issue!

Anyway, go read the interview already!

UPDATE: And thanks to Dustin for the interview nod and extremely kind words over on his DeviantART page as well as his website.

  1. When I first saw Dustin Nguyen’s art on Judd Winick’s run on Batman, I immediately thought of the work Mike Mignola did on the classic DC story “Cosmic Odyssey.” It’s so unique and so beautiful (and thanks for asking questions about John Kalisz’s colors, because they’re an awesome part of the mix, too). Thanks for an insightful interview. I can’t wait to own this run in hardcover; the Dini/Nguyen run is the most fun I’ve had with Batman in comics for literally decades. Whammy. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. What, “Cosmic Odyssey”? Seriously? Nuh-uh. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Dustin’s are so much better and different. ^^

  3. Better, yes, and different, yes, but both were definitely very unique voices to the normal colorful superhero genre. Someday soon I’ll introduce you to the Superman/Batman run that Nguyen penciled for B:TAS architect Alan Burnett. You’re gonna like it. ๐Ÿ™‚
